today’s fare

I wanted to make a quick post to let everyone know what we had for dinner today.

  • Jessica made french toast using a loaf of french bread I made yesterday.  It was delicious, and the french toast she made was great too! ;)
  • We made the following deserts: chocolate bourbon balls, pear tatin with a creme Chantilly sauce, and a fig bread pudding (oh, bring me some figgy pudding)
  • The meats we made were ham with a homemade glaze and two leg of lamb roasts, we also made two gravys from the drippings of each.  The lamb was made in the rotisserie.
  • We made two loaves of bread.
  • The sides were easy: some deviled eggs, carrots and pecans, green bean casserole, and mashed potatoes.

We had some great help and Jessica was able to get some good rest.  Today’s meal went as smoothly as any as I can remember, and our leftovers were marginal.
