Jaars: Thursday morning
We are starting to feel the intensive week here at the JAARS center. They keep us pretty busy during the days, at 8am we have devotions and singing. Then off to a quick breakfast, then on to the first class of the day at 9am. We have had a pretty consistent diet of phoenetics, phonology, grammer and translation. I would like to ask for prayer during this time as we are feeling very low on juice and we miss our son.
Yesterday after our lunch break(…and I need to stop here and let you know that they have the most fabulous food here at JAARS in the cafeteria, and we have met some of the greatest folks here during our lunch breaks…) we did more language learning. Jess is learning Japanese and I am in the French section. Today we present a skit to show what we have learned. I believe that both our groups are going to sing a song. We then visited the alphabet museum, where we didn’t have enough time to see everything there, so that will definitely mean another trip over to finish. After a class on culture, we left to go to a great Thai dinner last night. It was very hot and spicy, but very good (as Jess would say, Yummy!). We also had a testimony from a pilot here at JAARS to wrap up our day.
We are exhausted, but thrilled at the possibilities of how God will use us to bring Him glory. That is our prayer.
