Our day in Columbia

I went down to Columbia, SC today with Rob for a Christianity Explored conference. It was held at the First Presbyterian Church of Columbia. We thought the conference started at 9:30, but in fact it was at 9:15. We were late, but I blame a marathon race that blocked alot of the streets in and around the church.

We were fortunate to sit at a great table, and there were lots of interaction. We had a “mock” class where there was a leader at each table and the rest became participants. Some of us played the cynics. It was all in good fun, and it was a great role-play experience.

The team that presented the material to us did a fantastic job! We are now very motivated in looking for ways to spread God’s word amongst those who live around us. While the conference dealt with a group setting, but I could see ways that it could apply in any situation.

A highlight of the day was when Sinclair Ferguson sat down beside me for a brief period of time. I wish I brought along my copy of “The Christian Life” for maybe a signature. Oh well.
