Beijing House Church Leader Released!
A reason to give praise the the Name of the Lord!
The China Aid Association has learned that well-known church leader Liu Fenggang has been released from prison after serving three years. He is now back home after being released on Feb 5th.
Mr. Liu was arrested back in Oct 2003 and sentenced in Aug 2004 (almost a year between!) on the grounds that he provided national intelligence on the destruction of a house church to Christian organizations. But God was so faithful to Liu! During that time he was hospitalized FIVE times for heart ailments and diabetes. Yet he is here with us today. Even before his imprisonment he spent two years in labor camps because of his work in underground house churches.
Liu is back home today resting and recovering and receiving medical care for is ailments. He passed on a message of gratitude of the help his family received during his imprisonment. “I am very thankful of God’s grace and the prayers from brothers and sisters all over the world.” He continues, “My mom died during my first imprisonment back in 1995 and my little son grew a lot without me during the past three years. The suffering of my wife and son had to endure is nothing compared to the martyred brothers and sisters in China. I will continue to stand up for this just cause for which I am called.”
