Ikea coming to Charlotte
Our first sofa is from Ikea.
When we moved from Charlotte to Bloomfield, New Jersey in the spring of 2000, our first item of business was to purchase a few pieces of furniture. We didn’t have anything to sit on except for a few dining room chairs with a small little table that was seldom used. We visited the store (Elizabeth, NJ) and was amazed at the prices and the selection. Sure there were things there that was (as I would call them) junk — but we purchased the sofa and a chair (still being used in William’s room as our reading chair!). We had to wait in line to check out for almost 45 minutes and then had to schedule delivery of the sofa.
It has now been 6 years (almost 7!) since then. We love our sofa! It is a nice shade of green, with some big poofy cushions without making the couch uncomfortable to sit on. Yes, it is a sleeper, so I am happy to say that many guests have slept upon it (including myself) with no complaints. Arwen also agrees that it is a good napping place. We’ve both read and discussed the Bible here. We have since purchased another sofa, and I would have to say that it is no where close to being the same quality as our sofa from Ikea.
We are thrilled to see an Ikea store coming to Charlotte.
