I’m sorry…

The very nice people from KitchenAid are replacing my mixer. For free. It didn’t matter that I never sent in the warranty card. It took all of five minutes on the phone. And the new one will be here in time to do Christmas baking! They even offered me a choice of colors. I love them.

And so, with apologies to Elizabeth Barrett Browning:

How do I love KitchenAid? Let me count the ways.
I love thee to the depth and breadth and height
My breads can reach, when rising out of sight
For the ends of loaves and ideal rise.
I love thee to the whir of everyday’s
Rotating dough hook, by sun and kitchen lights.
I love thee frothily, as fast-beaten egg whites.
I love thee sweetly, like a yummy lemon glaze.
I love thee like a batch of chocolate chews
In my mixing bowl, and in my candy dish.
I love thee with a love I seemed to lose
With my last mixer. I love thee with the breads,
Sweets, pies, of all my life; and, if God choose,
I shall but love thee better after cake.
