NY Yankee pitcher Cory Lidle died in a tragic plane accident on the upper east side of manhattan yesterday afternoon.  For some it brought back 9/11, others it brought back Thurman Munson’s death.

I’ve read in various blogs where this death put the outcome of the Yankees season in perspective.  I agree that is true to a point, but to be honest I did not give sports a thought yesterday after this tragedy.  The thoughts I had go out to his wife and son, who will miss him.

Let’s pray for his family through this time of grief, and as well pray for his friends and close associates.

I pray for comfort and peace and understanding to the Lidle family.  I pray for God’s presence in their life to become abundantly clear to them.  I pray for God’s love to overcome them now and forever.
